The Community Development Administration of the City of St. Louis administers the Healthy Home Repair program to provide home repair funding assistance for low and moderate income households.
What is Healthy Home Repair?
The Healthy Home Repair program provides funding assistance for qualified low and moderate income homeowners to address emergency and comprehensive home repair needs with lead-based paint hazards.
Who is eligible?
The Healthy Home Repair program is for homeowners who live in the City of St. Louis. Eligibility is limited to low and moderate income households (less than 80% of Area Median Income) and homeowners who meet the following conditions:
- Have owned and lived in their home for at least 2 years
- Have clear title
- Are current on their real estate taxes
- Are current on their mortgage payments
- Have homeowner's insurance
How do I apply?
You can apply for the program online. Start by checking your eligibility here on our site. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will be added to our wait list.
How does it work?
Once your initial intake is received, you will be added to our waiting list. Emergency repair needs are giving priority within the program. You will receive periodic updates as you move up the waiting list. Once your request as at the top of the queue you will receive a notification to complete your application and provide supporting paperwork.
After your application and paperwork have been completed your repairs will be scheduled and you will be contacted by a Project Manager to oversee the work.
